Born in Tehran in 1962, India spent a nomadic childhood traveling around the world with her family. She studied architecture at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris while dreaming of becoming a film director, then rounded out her education in New York with studies in industrial, graphic and furniture design. Back in Paris in 1990, her experience working for Christian Liaigre was a revelation, and a few years later, following the birth of her son, India opened her own interior design studio.
