Synthesising studies in photography at the École des Arts Décoratifs with two decades in Paris working at some of the city’s most vibrant art spaces – the Palais de Tokyo, Galerie Yvon Lambert or Art Concept – and a lifelong passion for collecting fashion, Didier Barroso took a new direction in 2020, opening his curated vintage temple, Plaisir Palace. Located in the Northern Marais, around the corner from where he lives, the boutique was inspired by vintage shops he discovered in Mexico and Tokyo remarkable for their unique identities. Inside a simple white cube, his very personal fashion edit is structured around a love for colour and print, that transports you to a decadent atmosphere of the Parisian night.
