Disillusioned after eight years in finance, and with a newfound confidence after turning 30, Maryll recalled a childhood dream: to launch a company of her own. Increasingly ill at ease with the unreal images promoted by the beauty industry, the dubious claims for certain ingredients and the sector’s environmental waste, she launched her own skincare line, Amalthea, in 2018 in collaboration with her brother Alexandre-Amadeus. Dedicated to simple, safe and organic products, it opened its Paris boutique the same year.
