The Macon & Lesquoy boutique opened in 2017 in a former locksmith’s workshop close to the Canal Saint-Martin, but also just upwind of Place de la République, and indeed channels the spirit of protest and civil liberty of this deeply symbolic civic hub, where most of Paris’s regular public demonstrations start or end.
