Monday to Friday, a steady stream of customers make the pilgrimage to Du Pain et des Idées (“bread and ideas”) to enjoy Christophe’s exceptional bread and pastries. His signature bread is the Pain des Amis, or “bread of friends”, invoking one of bread’s elemental functions: bringing people together. The tables out front invite pilgrims to break bread together too.
