Raised in a Jewish family on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, Nouvelle Vague fan Marc studied film at Harvard. Alongside his French wife, he moved to Paris in 2000, producing experimental films he admits fell short of his hero Godard. In 2006, inspired by the no-frills juice bars and health food shops of ’80s New York, he launched Bob’s Juice Bar. He’s since become Paris’s pope of health food, opening a handful of outposts and regularly penning cookery books, including his latest ‘New York Cult Recipes’ (Marabout).
