Born in Paris to an auctioneer father, Louis-Géraud studied archaeology and art history at the Sorbonne, going on to work as an antiques broker and Art Deco expert. When his mostly English client base begin to dry up with Brexit, he sought a new métier, and was inspired by the work of the Australian florist-philosopher Lisa Cooper. His Marais boutique opened in 2017, with his contemporary bouquets since leading to work for Christophe Lemaire, Prada and others. “People see flowers as decorative,” he says; “I work with seasonal constraints to create emotion.”
