Gwendoline Van Opstal & Nicolas Le Jeune

Nicolas and his partner Gwendoline ran Aux Singuliers in Troyes, a concept store dedicated to design and crafts, from 2012-2019. There they were inspired by a nearby museum, the Maison de l’Outil et de la Pensée Ouvrière, run by the historic French craftsman’s guild the Compagnons du Devoir and dedicated to tools and the history of apprenticeship. In 2019, the duo pooled their talents to relaunch veteran French workwear boutique La Blouse de Lyon in Paris, keen to safeguard the soul and specialism of the venue while giving it new life in the 21st century.
