François Roger

A sommelier by training, François had a professional volte-face in 2008, when his father Jean-Jacques, the second generation to run the celebrated Jean Roger ceramics workshop (est. 1947), stepped down. A five-year apprenticeship with master Thierry Fouquet, and sculptor Philippe Seené, followed, before François relaunched the house in 2015. Besides wooing new clients – Dior, Louboutin – with his updates of Jean Roger classics like the pineapple vase, he’s also kept up with the times, recently launching a new e-shop and showroom.
