Franck hails from a long line of lunettiers, with his great-grandfather the first to venture into eyewear in the 1930s (his grandfather Robert meanwhile founded Maison Bonnet in the 1950s). From childhood he was obsessed with the savoir-faire involved in the profession, passing his baccalauréat, before joining the family business in the 1990s. Over the past decade, alongside his brothers Steven and John, he has added more accessible frames to the maison’s trademark tortoiseshell glasses, vastly expanding its audience.
