Fifi Chachnil

The youngest of five children, Parisienne Fifi grew up in a family of silk manufacturers and regularly spent after-school hours designing dresses. Following stints studying graphic arts in America, and making a record in Egypt (a new album, Love, came out in 2019) she launched her label in 1984. Her modern pin-up collections were shown in iconic venues like Le Crazy Horse, and via collaborations with artist friends including Pierre and Gilles. She’s especially loved for her retro lingerie, which she introduced in 1996.
