ESSEC graduate Eloise honed her professional nous working as a brand-heritage consultant for maisons such as Van Cleef & Arpels et Yves Saint Laurent. Just as she was casting around for her own project, she encountered Raphaëlle Le Baud, who was holding a fan – kickstarting an unlikely exchange that would see the duo resuscitate high-end 19th-century fan house Duvelleroy in 2010 (Eloise is now solo). Fashion world collaborations raised its profile, with 2014 seeing the launch of an e-shop and boutique – on the same street as Eloise’s gallery/artisan incubator Mayaro.
