The Toulouse-born philosophy professor turned thinking person’s hotelier co-founded the Mama Shelter chain, mixing design cred, mid-level prices and atypical locations, in 2008. In 2017, after an eco-awakening, the MOB concept followed, named after a vegan restaurant he had set up in Brooklyn. Targeting artists and young entrepreneurs, and offering local, organic food, the concept counts hotels in Paris and Lyon, and is fast expanding. Cyril is now primed to launch work/play hub MOB HOUSE, designed by his friend Philippe Starck, also offering extended stays, in Paris.
